Your New Year’s Eve Plans Are Lame

What are you doing on New Year’s Eve?  Chances are, you haven’t thought much about it.  If history repeats itself, you are probably doomed to a boring night at your house, filling your stomach with black-eyed peas.  You know, it doesn’t have to be that way.

It’s been a while now since I’ve given something away on my blog.  I think it’s time to do it again.

Each year I talk to plenty of families that are dying to come to family camp.  Well, truth be told, the mom and the kids are dying to come.  Dad is busy being reluctant.  To him, he wonders why any family would go to camp on vacation.

This post is for you, reluctant men.  Do you want to surprise your wife with the best Christmas present you can get her?  If so, read on.

Pine Cove has a conference coming up at all three of our family camps.  It is the New Year’s Conference.  Now before I go telling you all about it, let me think about what this conference is up against.  In other words, if you aren’t able to come, what might you be doing instead?

It could be that you are trying to keep your older kids from public roads that night.  The fact that you don’t want them to drive frustrates them.  An argument ensues.  Sounds like fun.

Maybe you spent a total of $22.37 on fireworks this year.  So I guess you could light your Roman Candles, and sit back and watch them blow – all 12 of them.

Lastly, you could be trying to keep your small kids occupied, as their adrenaline keeps them bouncing off the walls eager to light something on fire.  The process wears you out, so around 10:25pm you fake like it is midnight and quickly burn all your fireworks. In bed by 11pm.  Oh yeah.

Well it sounds like this might be tough to compete against, but let me do my best:

What if you were able to go to a place where six straight meals were made for you?  Not only that, but what if during those meals someone was with your family, doing anything needed to make that meal as easy as possible for your family?  Did I mention that meal would suddenly be cleaned up after your family is done eating?  Now doesn’t that all sound nice!

How about your family comes to camp, and EVERY person in the family discovers some new activity they have never done before, and then they leave the weekend wondering how they made it this far in life without ever experiencing that much fun.

Why not experience a vacation where you come back actually rested?  That sounds like a novel idea.

Pine Cove’s New Year’s Conference is a great way to experience a taste of family camp right in the middle of the year.  I’d like to give away a spot for an entire family to come for FREE.  Believe me – no gimmicks.  No strings attached.  Every time I give away something on my blog, people always ask reluctantly what the catch is.  I’m sure the winner will ask again.  And so I’ll tell them again, there is no catch.

In order to enter into this random drawing, you need to:
1) Leave a comment below. Remember this is a random drawing, so the winner will not be picked based on the worst case scenarios.  If you have questions that I could address in future posts, that would be a good place to leave them.

2) Share this to Facebook or Twitter. Click on the “Share” button to do this at the top or bottom of this post.  If you have a Twitter account you could do that instead.

I will keep this drawing open for the next 5 days.  This Friday, December 16, my assistant will randomly pick one winner from all those who have entered.
