Being a foster family has a huge impact on our day-to-day family life. Most of what happens around our house can only be shared through words, as foster kids’ faces are not allowed to be put on the internet. Through posts like this one, we are trying to give a “face” to what fostering looks like.
Two year olds can be territorial. When you enter in another two year old into an existing family, fireworks are sure to follow. Those definitely happen around our house, but that is also how friendships deepen.
Our biological daughter and our foster daughter have quickly become soul mates. Yes, they have their moments. Plenty of them. But they also have those endearing moments as well.

So much to learn from fostering. I am a social worker and before becoming a mom, I was an adoption and foster care worker for a private Christian agency. Never have I ever learned more about God’s love, grace, mercy and redemption than in that job position.

So true. Lately, I’ve been thinking more and more about the fact we CHOSE these two little ones. There is something powerful in that.
Sweet photos!
Thanks, Jerushah. They really are cute on the other side as well!
