Thanks to Norman Rockwell, it never seems that Thanksgiving lives up to the hype that surrounds it. After all, based on his painting, we all hope for that picturesque moment when we all sit down – in perfect unity – to enjoy an exquisite meal all while we laugh, talk, cry and simply be….together. I guess there’s always next year.
Thankfully – no pun intended – God takes our mess and makes something beautiful. When we are able to step back and actually see it, our eyes well up with tears as we recognize the good gifts he gives us.
