Friday Finds 3-09-12

As always, I like to take some good resources I’ve recently stumbled upon, and pass them on to my readers.  It might be blog posts I’ve read, books I’d recommend, various videos I’ve found, or just random things that I find worthwhile.  Enjoy.

1. Many have heard by now that its coming out, but I’m interested to see the movie, Blue Like Jazz.  Click here to watch the trailer to the new movie to be released April 13th.

2. This is my book of the week.  I just ordered it, and have heard some really good reviews on it already.  If you are a father with sons, get this.  I bet its good.  Future Men: Raising Boys to Fight Giants.

3. Crawford Loritts spoke recently at the Desiring God conference on the topic, Lessons on Biblical Manhood Learned From His Father.  Wow. Great message.  It is worth the time to watch the video.

4. Are You Paying Attention to Kirk Cameron?  Really good post by Denny Burk. (HT: Matt Lantz)  It is truly eye-opening to read some responses to Kirk’s video interview with Piers Morgan.

5. And you wonder how Pine Cove’s family camps have such good, creative ways to share rules at camp…  Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at two of our young, creative staff guys still trying to put together a rap for this summer.  Looking good, Josh & Pat!

    Kevin,

    I always like know what other are reading. Thanks for sharing. Your book of the week is of interest. I would be interested in how much is in it that would help mom’s communicate with and understand their teenage boys. (Ours is 14…)

      Kirk Cameron did do well with that answer. If you look at one of those hyperlinks in the post, you’ll see a celebrity even referred to Kirk as an accomplice to murder because of that answer. Wow.
